Why should we do Scrum when our work is very predictable?

[Krishna Kumar Venkataramana] Being predictable may not necessarily mean we bring agility to the process.
We always need to look at what adds value to the business and time to market.
The team needs to understand long term goals and devise objectives rather than predictability based on short term objectives.

[Phil Comelio] Are you predictability delivering valuable outcomes for your customers or are you just delivering features predictably? How do you know these features are appreciated by your customers and, if they don't' how do you you adapt to ensure that future features are appreciated?

[Murali Mohan Narayanabhatla] There are many more factors to be considered before deciding if we need Scrum apart from predictability.... The following are a few questions that need to be answered.

Is there technological uncertainty, people uncertainty and requirements uncertainty?

Are we working in a team setting or all alone?

Do we need to leverage the collective intelligence of people?

Would it be beneficial to use the empirical approach of Scrum?

Do we need to promote self-management of team?

How long has the team been working stably and predictably?
