[Saheil Sarkar] I always have my camera on during online meetings, even if others don't. I've seen some teammates start doing the same over time. When we show what we expect from others, it creates a positive vibe. Apart from this,
I've noticed some team members might be hesitant to use their cameras, maybe because they feel a bit uneasy in the team. To make our team bonding stronger, we can talk about it and agree on some ways to work better together, we can come up with a Team Working Agreement
We can consider introducing small steps, such as scheduling video calls once or twice a week first. To make these interactions more relaxed, we can begin with informal sessions where we discuss each other's well-being and incorporate ice-breaking activities. As a Scrum Master, using ice-breaking activities I can help the team understand why face-to-face interaction is crucial.
But It's also imp to approach this gradually and in a light-hearted manner so that team members don't feel pressured. Over time, as any initial awkwardness disappears, I've observed that team members often become more comfortable and willingly join video calls.
[Mohit Budhiraja] Anand Pandey first of all we cannot force team to switch on camera always but at the same time we need to make them understand working remotely requires effective communication, collaboration, and adaptability. Switching camera is one of the way to achieve same. It gives a personal touch with team members. Below are few pro-active actions i will be taking
1. 📷 Make Switching on camera mandatory for sprint events at least. In adhoc connect this can be ignored.
2. 👥 Discuss on Retrospective with team about not opening cameras with resource and explain them about pros and cons of switching on/off the cameras respectively.
3. 👨🏫 Coach team about importance of switching on camera due to remote work which increases effective communication, collaboration and adaptability.

[Mahantesh Hooli] For Daily Scrum Meeting, me and PO starts meeting with vedio call and light laughter things it could be what fun things we did in Weekend or yesterday and keep it very short....
And encourage others to join on camera and share the fun things quickly..
On Retro, I have tried various fun games.. and very good participation by my team....so far....
But I feel , still due internet connectivity, most of team members go camera off..
[Ranjit Bhingare] If one truly believe that its an hindrance, then explain why its an hindrance. Also one may emphasize on benefits of using video with open discussions like ,how to build relationship and trust in teams working remotely ? Importance of non verbal communication, decrease isolation and working in silos, how it will aid collaboration etc. Also if team members agree make it part of the team's working agreement.
