[Karthik Nagarajan Venkataramani] I would encourage the PO to be transparent in their ways of working when it comes to prioritisation to the entire team. If team has additional inputs the whole team can discuss and align.
[Avishek Patra] As a Scrum Master, it's imperative for me to advise and guide the PO on various prioritisation techniques which can help create a shared understanding between customers, POs and Developers if any quantitative value is attached to it. Some techniques not mentioned in scrum guide are- relative weighting prioritisation techniques, cost of delay, 100 dollar test. PO can be supported by SM by sharing the benefits of using these techniques, how he can showcase them in PO syncups and with customers. It will also help in bringing in the accountability among developers and customers will align to the Business Objectives that PO brings in every sprint.
[Tanmoy Aichroy] Educating a PO about the importance of maintaining prioritization for effective product development. Following various steps we as Scrum Master can help our PO to overcome such scenarios.
[Mirnal Singh] Scrum guide says: The Product Owner is accountable for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the Scrum Team. How this is done may vary widely across organizations, Scrum Teams, and individuals. For Product Owners to succeed, the entire organization must respect their decisions. These decisions are visible in the content and ordering of the Product Backlog, and through the inspectable Increment at the Sprint Review. SM if feels that the PO is finding it difficult to order the PB in that case he can pitch in and coach him on various techniques.
