[Debarati Roy Gupta]  Impediment is something which is hindrance towards achieving sprint goal.
If any associate becomes impediment that means other team members are feeling ,he is impediment for achieving the sprint goal/deliverable.

[Heena Kumari] n this scenario, as he is not willing to understand.

Being the Agile coach,
1. I need to change my hat upto his role
2. I will perform inspection and understanding the Root cause behind his behavior
3. I will try to gain his trust by some emotional techniques and asking him for catchup on Tea.
4. Also via some psychological techniques can understand his pshycology, behaviourial patterns.

Basis Inspection,I can find whether it is due to organization structure lack or due to his own reasons.

Now,
1. If it is because of organisation structure lack, analyse the structure in detail and find for the solution and adapt at organisational level.

2. If it is because of some other personal reasons, try to understand out of empathy, and suggest possible solutions, guidance to help him out.

3. If it is because of some particular intentions, give him guidance being SM, make him understand the benefits of following the organizational values and structure, or basis his reasons(of being the impediment) i will seek for different solutions

After this, observe the changes for sometime, if the impediment is removed.

If he still not ready to be coached, we can escalate it to the management and take necessary actions.
