[Babul Balakrishnan] If your work does not falls within the complex realm of Stacey Matrix, then we dont need to follow Scrum.

Given that, Scrum is a light weight framework good for beginners to learn and foster an agile mindset. It also helps create a psychological safe environment by bringing Openess, Respect, Focus, Commitment and Courage within the team members, which by the way are the 5 values of Scrum.

[Manish Kumar]  1. Empiricism --> Transparency -> Inspection -> Adaptation
2. Customer delight & satisfaction --> Right product at right time
3. Value --> Incrementally delivered
4. Shorter learning cycles --> No fear of failure

[Rahul Sharma] Predictability all alone is not Scrum.

Depends on what Antipatterns we have, apart from predictability some key reasons why we would want to follow Scrum would be :

1. Customer centricity
2. Increasing rate of Innovation in the team the way teams include Innovation in their product development journeys.
3. Removing existing Silos and increasing Collaboration. - Retros
4. Reducing Time to market with quality not being compromised.
5. Fostering customer centric mindset by focusing on Goals, Key problems etc like Sprint Planning.
6. Knowing our priorities better
7. Selecting what customer wants first in the plate instead of serving everything to him.

[Charlie Brown] 1) it is now, but that may not continue.
2) The economy is good now, but that may not continue.
3) Scrum is very good for learning. We may need to open a second profit stream (ask Luke Hohmann about this) to keep the business going.
4) Scrum works well with smaller teams and we may need to have smaller teams.
5) Scrum is a light weight product management system, this makes our organization lean and mean.
6) Scrum is all about the team. It helps not having a project manager asking our status three times a week.
7) Scrum has very few meetings. Just the status meetings can last 2 hours.
