[Dave Smith] "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐃 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐩𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞"
... I'd ask them why they all agree that, and that if "inspect and adapt" means "inspect, agree, then wait until later to adapt".

We can certainly discuss *why* the DoD missed this criteria in the retro... but there's nothing in Scrum stating that this change can't be applied now.

(I'd also question if anyone's heard of "Welcome changing requirements, even late in development").

[Debarati Roy Gupta] Scrum is a lightweight framework which say " If a Product Backlog item does not meet the Definition of Done, it cannot be released or even presented at the Sprint Review. Instead, it returns to the Product Backlog for future consideration.".And in mid of the sprint if developers realise one of the essential criteria is not incorporated in DOD without which increment would not be usable state, for the same sprint team will incorporate that criteria in the increment and eventually in Sprint Retrospective scrum team will that as as one of the checklist item in DOD as part of the DOD improvement.

[Bhadari Rani Patchigolla] Will request to discuss with PO and add it to DOD immidiately.End of the day we need to reach Sprint goal.DOD helps as QC so if one more QC item added that is not an issue.EOD we need to deliver high quality product .If we are not able to meet DOD by this we can deliver this is next Sprint. But these all need to discuss with in Team. if everyone agrees then go for it. First of all we need to appriciate dev team as they identified and expressed means transparency is there and inspection is there so the remaining thing is Adapt. Here SM need to make awareness to team like dont wait for Retros for these kind of things.Daily standup is also designed for inspection and adaptation.so Scrum suggests ASAP inspect and Adapt the things .it reduce the deviation.

[Shruti Prasanna] In my view, I will raise it immediately to the PO and bring it to the development team to arrive on common grounds of what could be achieved for the usable increment.
As DoD is never static, it is fine to add it in the mid sprint and development could be proceeded based on teams velocity.
